    Thumbs up Paleo - anyone?

I've been reading and researching with much interest about the Paleo 'way' of eating, and to an extent been replicating it.

I'm not doing it for weight loss (though I have noticed a decent loss for not much effort *bonus*) but rather to help reduce the effects of processed foods.

1a) Any other Paleo followers out there?

1b) If answer to above is yes, how long have you followed it - what benefits have you noticed?

    b) Please share your fave recipes please? Or fave online sites perhaps?

    x

I recently started a new challenge (112 days) however, I have had to stop because of health issues - and doing Paleo made them worse.

I'm looking forward to getting back to it though when I can I really like it, and love the recipes. There are HEAPS of blogs with HEAPS of recipes.

ETA - I was supposed to go 112 days, I made 28 before I was starting to black out from the lack of carbs - which is why I stopped. Given my present um... situation.

I did it for a couple of months. Lost about 5 kilos (and I wasn't even what you would call overweight). I felt AMAZING - clear headed, energetic, better moods etc. Unfortunately once I let sugar back in everything went to poo.

Am planning to go back asap

I did the Whole 30 challenge and felt awesome! Made it the whole way and then there was Christmas.... I think you know how that ends, LOL.

We are now eating mainly paleo but not strictly. If we are out somewhere we eat whatever we want and if we really feel like something we have it. If we are too strict we end up just going crazy and giving up, lol. So I guess we're about 90% paleo. We feel much better for it too

Yes, I'm not following it strictly - but I'm opting for proteins over carbs (not to replicate Atkins) but yes for the clear head, clean eating, regulated moods etc. When i hear low sugar now I cringe and wonder what has been placed in the food item to 'pep' it up

Hey MrsNB, where are you getting those awesome recipes from? Please share
