    endo symptoms What are yours?

Im just asking what people feel for 'symptoms' ...

since my op on the 21 jan i had a lap hysterscope and d&c and a merina inserted... they found polyps and the known fibroid and the 'bulky uterus'.

When i went in i was due to have AF now 10 days later since i havent got it but the endo feeling are coming back with a vengence with constant ache around the bellybutton area and to the back and then it moves down to the uetrus ...before the op i had all the severity in my uterus and down my legs and the revolting 'contraction/labour' pains...that needed iv narcotics in ED every month for 4 in a row!

I was really worried the merina would really aggrevate everything but it hasnt and i dont feel any different ...thank god

    Symptoms prior lap were -
Bowl pain with movements during af (extreme pain)
Bladder pain during urination during af and sometimes a day or so after (extreme pain)
    Shooting pain down both legs
Excrutiating period cramping all over abdomen
    Terrible back pain
Shoulder and neck pain (irritation in abdo causes shoulder and neck pain)
Stabbing pains in left side (had endometrioma on left ovary)
Extremely painful belly button (nearly cried if touched or kicked by a child when changing nappy)
    Extremely tender tummy area
    Feeling of extreme bloating

In general my pain was consistent for 2-3 days to the point of blacking out if I didn't lie down
Fevers, chills and diharrea with the pain as well

Post lap, I had a bit of cramping but nothing in comparison now to previously. And still have the tender tummy for the first few days.

I've never had a baby, but I would describe the waves of pain to be something like I would think contractions would be.

and no gets it if they havent experienced it.... and for me they have never found endo outside in the abdomen but its always been my belly button area to start it ... the only thing i have been dx with is chocolate cysts (which i havent had for ages) and the 'bulky' uterus and now the polyps.... one of my specialist stated just because it isnt seen doesnt mean it isnt there...

    Its there alright.....

Interesting. I'm currently on waiting list for colonoscopy due to pain in abdomen right side in line with belly button with bad bloating. CT scan normal, ultra sound normal. I think some of my symptoms line up with the symptoms you are all describing. I always thought it was not a bowel thing. It comes and goes and is not excruciating. Been going in for past few months. Is it something that starts off not severe and progressively gets worse? I have recently begin to have pain inside during intercourse, near ovaries. Again only a couple sharp shooting sort of pains. My lower back is constantly aching and come to think of it all these things started happening when I went off the pill last October. My periods seem to be much shorter too only 2-3 days. We want to try for s third baby ASAP too , I wonder if I should ask GP about this.

Im 42 atm and in my 20s omg did i go thru the works..... it was a cyclic pain but it turned out i had gallstones (from the pill) had the gall bladder removed but months later the pain was there again... it was very cyclic but as i was so irregular with periods i didnt put two and two together.... they Alfred Hospital dr wanted me to have a colonscopy and i refused as i said im sure it is gynae...so they refered me on to Dr Lutjen who did my first lap and found the choc cysts but nothing else.... After that lap back in 2006 i felt 100% better....
jump to 2011/2012 and recently the period were bad (and i wasnt on the pill) and only recently since Sept last year i have had 4 ed admissions and one 2 night stay with AF for pain control.....
The pain is weird to explain sometimes it is like bubbles of air under my belly button to like someone in there scraping ..

The pains i had a felt a bit like when you do too many ab crunches and get sore muscles but only in one particular area and 'deeper'. Also a bit burny. Dunno! It's really not that painful though that I need medication.

    How did it all start?

Just wondering how your endometriosis started?

I have been having - for the last couple of months - more painful periods and brown discharge about 3 days after my periods and about one week before my periods.

Just wondering if this is the beginning of E?

Hi everyone I've just been formally diagnosed with endometriosis and im shocked that I didn't actually put two and two together. Regarding symptoms, I've had several symptoms for years!

*Unexplained female factor infertility (wasn't ovulating they did u/s and blood tests, which resulted in clomid cycles)
*severe leg pains when af was present
*stabbing/shooting rectal pains before AF and during AF.
    *heavy clotty and painful periods.
*pain during ovulation (sometimes spotting too)
*brown spotting lasting about a week before AF started fully, and a few days after.
    *Luteal phase defects
*bloating to the point where I look pregnant
    *constipation then violent diarrhoea.

My specialist high risk ob rang and told me it was on my surgical report from when I had my ectopic pregnancy and right tube removed.

How has it impacted (if at all) your fertility? Will I need clomid again?
Hubby and I have recently decided to TTC after our EP.

    Thanks in advance.

Hi PP I am sorry you have been diagnosed with endo and that you have recently gone through an ectopic pregnancy. The symptoms you listed are exactly what I have with my endo. I have had 2 laparoscopys, the first one the gyno didnt find it but I had a second one done a few years later and they found it. I would have had the endo but it can be difficult to find apparently as can look different on different people. Endo can make falling pregnant harder depending on where it is found. Mine was on the outside of my uterus. My sis had it down near her bowel. The gyno told me that having the endo on my uterus shouldn't affect my fertility as it wasn't on my tubes or ovaries, however, he did stress that just having edno can make it hard to fall pregnant and encouraged me to start trying asap. However, I had been on the pill for years so when I came off it to TTC we didnt fall as I was diagnosed with PCOS (which is common in women with Endo), so in the end it wasnt so much the endo that made it difficult, it was the PCOS so I needed clomid for both my babies.
Hormonal problems can make it difficult to fall pregnant but I hope you have a much easier ride for your next pregnancy!
