I have tried them and found they are ok. kinda help as a reset for your appetite. The 1st 3/4 days are always the hardest.
L-cartatine and 5 htp are also worth investigating. 5 htp is an amino acid that helps curve sugar cravings from carbs and help with sleep.
Keeping busy helps, portion control is hard to start. drinking a glass of water 10mins before eating helps to make you feel full to start. but you need to beware of the midnight munchies that hit when starting this kind of work

I am too scared to try anything like that as I don't like putting things that I don't understand into my body, but I do find that cutting out sugar is a great way to suppress your appetite. When I eat sugar I am ravenous most of the day. When I don't I eat far less and have better impulse control. Also, try eating carrot before anything else, I find it turns me off food, even though I love carrot. Weird.

It's not sugar I have a problem with, I crave carbs more than anything!

Are you eating enough protein? And even if you are not eating alot of sugar, even a little bit can make you start carb munching. Well for me it does anyway!

    Appetite suppressants?

Low GI and fibre ++ can help with appetite control. So can including good qual protein & oil throughout the day. I'm not sure about other types of appetite suppressants though. I would want to know what mechanism they use before trying them. The other thing about satiety is that other types of satiety hit the same button in your brain. So getting enough sleep, laughter, relaxation and other types of pleasure can reduce hunger.

I haven't used these but find that for me exercise and coffee suppress my appetite. If I eat fruit for breakfast I am less hungry than if I eat cereal or an egg. I have heard a lot of people say the contrary so I could just be weird!

I have not tried any appetite suppressant pills, but I have read something about foods that help quench your hunger. I think eating these foods plus exercise will help shed the unwanted pounds.

    Appetite suppressants?

Green tea is a natural appetite suppressant. Sip on it instead of eating carbs.
Is it actually your appetite, or I it more emotional or boredom? I think determining exactly what it is will help you on the right track.
I don't believe in any of that sort of stuff, just proper nutrition and keeping active.

    Appetite suppressants?

I used duramine. Medium strength, for one month. I lost I think 8kg.

Before going to gp I did try losing the weight on my own, went to gym every 2nd day, changed my diet etc but I have a huge appetite and it was hard to not over eat.

After the duramine my stomach had shrunk which made it easier to keep weight off. I just started eating slowly and paid attention to when my stomach was full.

They worked for me, no regrets here
