No idea what to do with it.
Thought it might be yummy as a treat.
The people eating it are very conservative, use to garlic/ ginger/ soy sauce kind of favours.
But i'll really consider any suggestions
You can use it in a similar way to smoked salmon - it goes well with flavours like capers, cream cheese, carrot, cucumber, egg, peas, potatoes, dill, yoghurt...
How much have you got, and how many people? Is it a mains or entree or appetiser-sized serving? Can you shop for special ingredients, or do you need to use what you already have in the cupboard and fridge?
I've seen an asian-style appetiser that had smoked salmon wrapped around a short stick of cucumber, then rolled in sesame seeds. I reckon if this was drizzled with soy sauce you'd be onto a winner.
I've also seen cucumber cut into fat rounds, some of the seeds scooped out to make a shallow cup, and filled with a filling of some sort - maybe chopped trout, capers and a little sour cream to hold it together? I don't think sour cream is very asian, though!
