    Sick/Urine Output

    Warning - contains toilet talk!!

My DD isn't well. She has a chest infection and is on AB's, started them on Thursday PM. She's fully toilet trained but we've noticed since she's been unwell (last weekend) that she's been doing less and less trips to the toilet. She usually goes 3 - 4 times a day but when she got sick she was going twice. We've been putting her on the potty (which she still prefers anyway) so we can see what she's doing as she rarely goes.

She has now not done a wee since yesterday morning. She did a poo around lunchtime yesterday but that's it. We've had her sit on the potty many times and she does try but then says "No wees coming - LOOK" and stands up. She's drinking, she skulled an entire sippy cup (200mls) of water last night and is right now drinking a strawberry milk after sipping at her water bottle all morning. She's asking for drinks, I don't think she's dehydrated. She's eating fine. No temperature. Firm belly but she doesn't get upset if I touch it.

She is so very unsettled though, she woke several times last time in absolute hysteria. Screaming that she was tired and wanted to go to sleep but screaming, shrieking. She said no when I asked if something hurt though.

I've got no idea if this is a problem or not - do I just keep an eye on her or what? I already feel like a bit of a panic merchant because I've had her at the GP twice this week and then she got a funny rash on her face after the first dose of AB's so rang to check what the go was. The nurse asked me if this was my first child which, while she said it nicely, I did feel like it was a bit "if this was your second child blah blah you wouldn't worry."

So I guess I'm asking - should I be worried? And if yes, what should I do?

Thanks ladies, she has finally done a wee. She's definately drinking so she must just be using lots of fluid to fight her sickness.
