lump in tummy, possible hernia

Had DS, aged 3, at the sonographers this morning for a ultrasound on his tummy.

About 10 days ago we noticed a lump/swollen area above his groin, right next to his little doodle. it gets worse in the arvos and even has quiet a sizeable, palable lump.

doc sent him for a scan today and the area just shows as a large black mass.

we see the doc again next week, hopefully Monday but just wanted to hear from anyone whose child had a hernia.

the doc seems to think that's what it could be, so what was the treatment? recovery? etc?

just wanted to say how scary for you and hope your little man is ok and it gets fixed quick. not sure on practicle advice tho
