    Compolsory participation requirements

For PPS - the website states that there are "compulsory part-time participation requirements from the time your youngest child turns six", is anyone able to tell me what those participation requirements actually are? Is there a set number of hours for work/study or something else? Is it the same requirement as when the child turns eight and you are moved onto Newstart if you are still requiring assistance?

Ive been looking on the website for an answer but can only find the changes for the moving to Newstart, which is at 8 not 6.

    Thanks

Think it has something to do with 30 hours f/n I remember them mentioning it but said I do t have to worry cause I already work 32hrs f/n. it's not to do with transferring to newstart, ur right that's 8, thinking it might be more to do with FTB? Don't quote me tho I'm not 100% sure

it's not related to ftb at all - it's totally about your income support payment

you would be expected to engage in 15 hours of activity per week - working, studying, training, looking for work etc. all with the aim of improving your employability - so studying something that will help you get a job at the end is ok - studying something as a hobby, not so much. the aim is to get you to be self sustaining (not relying on income support).
