which formula you use for a colic baby

My bub is around 7 weeks old suffering colic from 2nd week of birth. My DD also suffered that but I switched her from breast milk to NAN gold and she was fine straight away.

For this bub Iam using NAN HA gold from past 4 weeks but no effect. he is in pain very smelly green poos with yellow btis .I use infacole, gripewater , all remedies from internet even boiling his water for formula in fennel seeds and cardamom pods but he is not 100% painfree.

I feel deadly tired carrying him from 5 pm till 10 pm ( this is everyday his colic period) sometimes whole day.

while googling I found karicare HA Gold for infant has bit less Iron than NAN.Iam thinking to try that.Has any ones bubs settled on this?
would anyone suggest me any better option.

That sounds really rough Nimra. Have you spoken with your child health nurse or GP about this? They might be the best to advise you. To my knowledge, the only really substantive difference between dairy-based formulas is iron content, and I guess some may get bunged up on those with more iron.
    All the best

The gold formulas are apparently quite rich, so this may be part of the problem. Not all babies will be OK with the same formula. I used Karicare AR for my last baby as he had reflux and colic and it worked well for him. The iron will be making his poo green too.

Hi there my little boy is quite colicy also. We were using the nan ha gold but I too found it not suitable and switched to karicare aptimal gold ha and we have success! Not saying it will work for you, but it's worth a shot. I also used the slowest flow teat and some infacol in his bottle. He is a different baby.
Wishing you and your little boy luck!

If the problem is gassiness, etc, you can also try pacing the feed more like a breastfeed, so he can rest every few swallows. If you're not already doing it, that is. You sort of tip them up, bottle still in mouth to slow him down every now and then.
