So DS is turning 5 on Monday and I have decided (last minute) to have 5 of his school friends over for a party. I decided 5 was a good number as he is turning 5, so one for every year lol.
I decided to have it at our house due to the weather being so unpredictable and raining on and off. Also due to being 36 weeks pregnant I thought not having to pack things up and take to it to a park would be easier.
The only things is it will be 5 boys and their parents in our medium/small house. If its pouring with rain the backyard is out also.
So what are some ideas to keep them entertained for around 1-1.5 hrs?
I have lots of puzzles, building/ construction sets, lego, playdough and colouring activities.
Would those be ok to do and would it keep 5 boys entertained?
I had 10 kids move inside my house for my dd's 5th birthday (unplanned due to storms rolling through). We played pin the butterfly on flower, pass the parcel, and musical statues.. But the kids were most happy playing with dd's toys..
If u have a break in weather there is a good game and all u need is a cinnamon donut each. Tie string to the donut and ham it from the clothes line. Then they have to try to eat the donut with their hands behind their back. Soo funny I watch and kept them interested for a while at a party I just had. Maybe chalk outside under a verandah? Little water bottles to spray each other with? Hope or goes well!
