    Basic, Cheap, Easy Daily Routine.

I'm working on getting myself fit & healthy again & I'd love some ideas for my 'beauty' regime too!

    1. I don't wear makeup
    2. I rarely wear sunscreen (unless I'm IN the sun on hot days for longer than say 30min)
    3. My skin varies with some dry patches and other 'oily' spots if I fiddle with my face.

I've just purchased an Aveeno daily moisturiser so am thinking of using this once a day (morning or night???)

What other products should I try for daily use?

Also what are some good makeup products to try, I currently have a powder but I'm just not liking it anymore, I would like something natural looking that just evens & smooths my skin a bit when going out. (Liquid foundation???)

I really need some lessons on applying makeup too... Hmm!

Moo goo products are fabulous for cleansing. Their wash is made for the face but its in a 500ml bottle and is priced so it can be used all over :-)
I like Nude mineral makeup. I'm not really a makeup person either but when I do want to even out my skin tone Nude what I use and it goes on flawlessly and really fast.

I moisturise morning and night during this time of year as I find my skin gets quite dry in warmer weather. I also use a scrub in the shower.

For daily use I just pop on a tinted moisturiser. It has spf and gives me a bit of colour and coverage without feeling like I'm wearing foundation (which I hate!). I only wear foundation if I'm going out at night or for a special occasion. My basic daily routine is tinted moisturiser, a bit of mascara and lip gloss.

Nude by nature make really nice foundations IMO. I use their BB cream and their loose mineral powder. The powder is very build-able, so you can wear a little just over moisturiser, or use a BB cream, some concealer if you want, and then build the powder fora heavier look.

I second the nude by nature for you.... Come around this week and you can try mine if you want?
I don't use it every day though- I use mascara, blush and a coloured lip balm.
I have some little blotting papers (think tally-ho- hahaha) from the body shop which work fabulously for my more oily days.

Skincare wise- you can pick up some lovely products from Coles these days- figure out what your issues are ie dry skin, blemishes, oily skin and I can help you pick one out if you like?

I use an enjo face cloth in the shower. It's as easy as it gets.
I wear SPF everyday (kinda need to here) and am currently using the Zinc Tinted daily SPF from coles. I really like it. I do that every morning and then an avicado oil cream at night time (since the sun's not out lol).

I use soap and water to cleanse and lanolin or goats milk moisturiser in the morning and rosehip oil at night.

For makeup I use eye shadow, liner & mascara for daily wear plus lipgloss or lipbalm.

    Wash with honey (Manuka).

Moisturise using rosehip oil +/- coconut oil.

Exfoliate weekly using paste of rice flour & water, or sometimes I use yoghurt.

Amazing how much clearer my skin is since I ditched things that come in plastic bottles!

Like Marydean, no nasties here either. So much simpler and my skin is so much better.

Moo goo cleanser in the shower. Organic rosehip oil for face moisturiser. Organic coconut oil for body moisturiser. I don't wear makeup at home during the day but if going out I have a loose powder mineral makeup that I got from the health food shop which I love and is as good as any other with chemicals I have used. And Ere Perez Mascara (made from almond oil).

I use the Yes to carrots face cleanser in the shower, spf30 every day Nivea light veil, and garnier BB cream is awesome if it don't like heavier foundation. I then use bronzer eyeshadow and eyeliner mascara etc, for work. If I'm just hanging out will just use mascara and some bronzer.

Getting your lashes tinted is great too, especially if you have fair lashes. Great for busy girls who can't be bothered applying makeup each day (like me!).

I haven't had mine done while pregnant (my skin gets super sensitive) and am so missing it!!

    Thank you everyone.

I only wear mascara if I wear other makeup (very rare), I don't even wear lipgloss or anything on a daily basis.

I am thinking of making a home made salt scary for exfoliating?
Sea salt, olive oil, honey, tea tree oil? How long would it last in a sealed tub?

Emma - I'd love to come & try it but flat chat this week, next time I'm around there remind me.

Is there a natural cleanser I could use?

MIL's friend is a make up artist to the stars and I have a set of her makeup brushes, I've never used any of them and really want to learn... Make I need to start checking out you tube & the like.

Also look at re-organising my bathroom cupboards and makeup box.

I use Moogoo milk wash as a cleanser too. All natural I also use their rise hip and the anti ahing moisturiser. Love their stuff!
Considering trying the nude mineral powder now a few of you girls have recommended it. Can you buy it from a chemist somewhere or only on TV?

I was using bicarb as a facescrub, and it worked wonders. My skin felt softer and looked clearer. I use olay face cream with spf, too scared to change as whenever I do I start getting pimples.

Makeup wise, if I'm going out I'll use concealer around nose and under eyes. Then just a bronzer and blush to make me have a healthy glow. But I don't really have dry patches or oily zones.

ZF, for a scrub use brown sugar instead of salt if its for your face. Sugar contains glycolic acid which helps with the exfoliation without being very drying. I would save the salt (if ever) for tough calluses on feet etc.
