I get awful bloating from the two weeks between ovulation and my bleed starting. It would be at least that much and it's about an extra 5-6 cms on my waistline too. So you can imagine how hard it is fitting into clothes during that time! I do have a history of endo, but I put it down to being a regular part of my cycle and just hormonal. BUT I have also had the mirena in the past and i was bloated for the 5 months that I had it. It would have been well over 5extra kgs and I looked like I was about 5 months pg at it's worst.

Thats what im worried about the mirena having a extra add to the bloating as without the mirena yes i go and down but this is huge ...and yes i look like im pregnant .

Bloody hell ... how do you get the mirena taken out ? via gp rooms or hospital?

you usually have them taken out by your GP. I had to have mind taken out under a GA as it had moved entirely into my uterus. I usually lose the extra fluid by the mid-way point of my bleed.

I always get very bloated (and bad gas pain) around O or AF time if I eat gluten. Any chance diet could be playing a part?

yes i went to the Gp for a pain script and i mentioned the increase of weight ....yep i have on at least 3 kg as im usually 78k and i was 82.4kg with clothes on and it is warm down here....
he was concerned at all told me too it was probably gas/bloat/water due to hormones....

and yes it probably was diet as i had a fix of maccas yesterday which i rarely do....coincidence or what im stearing away from that junk food from now on...and i wont be buying any wine for a while as well and see if that helps ...

    Thanks girls
