It has now been 3 days since I last her.
No little grey fluff ball mewling at me to "feed me!feed me!" every night....
Silvey will be 17 years old this year... I have had her since I was 16, she has moved with me from house to house, been with me through most of the stages of my teen/adult life...
I have walked the few blocks around our house, looking for her, I have driven around, hoping that I wont find her lifeless body on the side of the road, but then also hoping I will at least find her...
I have a pretty horrid feeling that I wont be seeing her again, she is very old, a bit frail, a bit forgetful, she forgets where her food is sometimes and that I have already fed her.
I think she may have wandered too far and forgotten how to get back...
But... I am also holding on to the hope that she has been picked up by some "do gooders".... over the last few months, I have had a few people come to the door with her, saying she was at their house and wouldnt go away...they all thought she was a kitten and weren't too shy telling me that she needed a good feed, they were VERY surprised when I explained that she was a very old cat.
There are people who stop and pat her all the time (she usually sleeps out the front all day) some times they have even left her bowls of food (only found this out the other day) if I had known about it earlier I would have had a little talk with them...
I am under no illusion that this could very well just be her time and she has wandered off to find a nice spot to curl up and go to sleep one last time... I just wish she had done it somewhere that I could find her...
