Sorry if this is a double post had postred under recipes first and then realised this was probably more relevant area.
I am looking to make some shamrock shaped cookies for St Patrick's Day next week for DS's daycare. When I was chatting to one of the girls in there today she mentioned that Friday, (which is the day i am intending to go in - my day off and Paddys Day is the Sunday) had to be egg free as i assume one of the kids must have an intolerance.
Can anyone help out with an egg free cookie recipe? Or any other idea of something that I could make instead. The plan will be to actually make them at daycare so I need to keep it reasonably simple. I've ordered a shamrock cookie shaper and could add some green colouring to the recipe also to give it the green tinge - don't think it would be quite right to add guinness or irish whiskey to a 3 year old recipe!!!!
500gm butter
1 can condensed milk
1/2 cup sugar
5 cups self raising flour
Cream butter, condensed milk and sugar together with electric beater and then slowly add sr flour and keep mixing. The idea is that you divide it into 4 batches once mixed abd add whatever you want (chic chips, mm's, passion fruit syrup etc) then freeze and thaw as needed.
