    Which pram to get??

So I'm looking at double prams. I currently am using the single agile with the capsule for dd2. My plan was when I did this to put dd1 in the carrier but she point blank refused to be carried anymore a few months ago so it's no longer an option. I'll be using the carrier for dd2 as well but right now I'm finding it easier to just transfer a sleeping newborn with the capsule. Dd1 is a nightmare on the loose so I really need a double pram.
    Looking at 3 so far.

    Steelcraft Strider Compact:

Pro's - capsule fits. Seats can be facing you.
Con's - I'm worried that dd1 won't fit in the little toddler seat, which means she'll need to be up the top and the capsule down the bottom and then when she's out of the capsule dd1 won't fit in if dd2 is facing me and dd2 will end up down the bottom so this all defeats the purpose of bub being able to face me.

    Baby jogger city select.
Pro's - love that dd1 could face the world and dd2 can face me.
Con's - my capsule won't fit. This makes me sad as I feel it would have been perfect otherwise.

    Steelcraft agile twin
Pro, capsule will fit, dd1 can see and fit, the double of what we already have.
Con: pram is useless when dd1 is able to walk nicely without needing the pram. Which will probably be next 6-12 months. Bub can't face me once out of capsule.

As I can't actually view any of these prams in person and fiddle with them to see what I like as we live 4hrs from the nearest baby shop, I don't know how to choose as none of them are perfect. So would love to hear opinions from those that have one of these prams.

    What capsule do you have?

I love my baby jogger city select! I had strider plus before that and BJCS is 1000 times better.

I have the steelcraft infant carrier. I've been told only the unity, maxi cosi and peg perego fit the city select.

It's such a hard decision isn't it especially if you can't test them! I've got a phil n teds double love that I can use it singularly, love that it can still fit my 3 yr old in it as he out grew my strider I had before at 1yr old he's very tall, and you can buy for $30-$40 a capsule attachment and can fit any capsule I'm pretty sure so for this bub im going to use a capsule on top and toddler seat underneath good luck

I'd get a side by side ( the Agile), my boys always preferred this option. I find having 2 prams, a single and a double really useful. My DS1 is 3.75 and we still use the double regularly or the single with a skateboard for shorter outings. My double is the Love n Care Twingo. It's my pram for big days like the zoo or the Easter show.

I've got BJ City Select and love it, highly recommend it. I bought the Maxi Cosi which is the best capsule to use with it - clips in quickly and easily. A bracket is supplied with car seat adapter kit so it can be used with several other car seats (you may be able to get the full list from the BJ website) however it's more fiddly using the bracket. Would you consider hiring a Maxi Cosi or buying one?

Love love love our City Select. It sounds like you want something that is adaptable for your needs and the City Select fits that criteria.
I found DD transferred really well from the car seat to the bassinet insert in the stroller.
Is it an option to use your capsule and not have it click into a stroller?

I've got the bugaboo donkey. I use it in mono mode but when another bub comes along it will be changed to Duo mode. It is so easy to push, you can get the basinette attachments and bubs site side by side which I think is great

I think my husband would kill me if I bought another capsule, I had a hard enough time convincing him I needed the one I bought because dd2 is our last baby. Hiring isn't an option because we live to far from any place to be able to pick it up. Baby jogger are now making an adaptor for a seat called the britax b-safe which is the American version of the capsule I have. I think I'll email them and see if it will work with my Australian version of the seat as well.

For those that have the city select do you find it hard to push with 2 kids? Especially with toddler at the front. Living in a small town not everything is smooth and I'll have a lot of uneven surfaces to push along and I'm a weakling.

Maxi Cosi have a great reputation and they are a lovely capsule. They click straight into the standard attachments with Baby Jogger prams too, the extra car seat adapter bracket isn't required. Very simple to use, just loved the whole setup!

That looks almost identical to the City Select but you can do more combinations with the Select and the second seat doesn't sit below when facing forward, both seats have a clear view. You can face the seats at each other too - my two DD's love that.

Agree wholeheartedly with Taurean. I originally had another capsule to go with our Select, took it straight back and swapped for a Maxi Cosi once we saw how fiddly it would be to attach to the pram! Maxi Cosi was so easy to use

In Aust it's called the Strider Compact. Next model on from the Strider Plus.

    I have the Strider Plus.
It's not so bad with a toddler up front & baby down back. You can angle the second seat so baby can see you easily. I also adapted it so that I could put the capsule at the back facing me.
I don't think you can do that with the Compact though. Another thing I love about it is the ability to be a single or double pram easily.

Sorry to resurrect an old thread but I was wondering if you found out whether the steelcraft infant carrier works with the britax bsafe adaptor?
