    Puberty book

I'm looking for a suitable book for ds1 who is eight and already showing a shy interest in girls. He has an understanding of sex and the mechanics of how babies are made but I'm more looking for one that explains the emotional side of puberty alongside the physical changes. Any recommendations?

I remember What's Happening to Me was a pretty good book and I believe they have revised and updated it a bit. It is for girls and boys but your DS could just skip the girl bits. It has the same cartoons as Where Did I come From but it's a bit more grown up.

    What's Going on Down There.

I have both the *where did I come from* and *what's happening to me* books! Miss H (5) is soooooooooooo into them! She asks heaps of questions about the body! Has requested she NOT get hair down there, and can not wait for her boobies to grow!
They are both so simply written and the cartoon pictures are great!
And she gets a kick out of knowing I read these books when I was a wee lil tacker as well!

I've bought the "what's happening to me - boy" book so hopefully it will answer any questions he has now or in the near future

    Puberty book

The bbc documentary about our bodies is good for boys. Watch it yourself first then if you think he's ready you can watch it together.

A lot of my friends with older boys swear by it. Better than any book. And isn't weird, takes away the embarrassment.

    Puberty book

It's called either "The Human Body" or "Inside the human Body" I think it had 7-8 episodes. Starting at birth, all the way through to death. Including hormonal changes, both emotionally and physically. It also talks about sex etc.
