Once you sign up there is the option to then pay for unlimited access :/ So if you can't (I wont be) call the US to listen on the phone, from what I can tell you then have to pay to listen to the recordings.

Thanks Efjay. I knew it sounded too good to be true. It would be great if it was free though.

its hard to work out, it says in the email that the recordings will be available for 48 hours & then there is the option to upgrade for unlimited access. I thought it said they will be availble 48 hours after the calls take place & then you can pay to access them. But maybe you can access them for that limited 48 hour window...
I don't think it will hurt to sign up, like I said the ebook thing looks handy.

That sounds like it could be right - phone call is free then pay if you want a copy of the recording. I am not sure sorry, it was passed onto me by one of the experts. It'll be awesome though, maybe take lots of notes. I will sign up for it to see if I can make sense of it.

Well the phone call won't be free though because you have to pay international phone charges.

Anything with the word 'FREE' attached to it - ESPECIALLY a seminar, I'd be very wary of. If they were that interested in helping people out for "free" they would publish their seminar material on a website so people can refer to, or download it at any time they want. That's what health promotion/advocacy organisations do.

Eta - If you do register, don't forget the time difference! It's 14 hours difference between US EST and Melbourne so the 10am seminar would be midnight and the 1pm seminar would be 3am.

You can get calling cards quite cheap. Skype credits potentially?

People still need to pay costs using services, like seminar cost, promotion, website, writing materials... They are individuals wanting to make a difference, not an organisation.

Also nice to feed their families but I am sure they'd donate it anyway - they all do plenty of volunteer work and fundraising. One of them, Avak (from Melbourne, son is autistic) is a good friend who just started an autism awareness group and raised I think 4k this weekend doing a lunch, to help families with autism who need it. They are good people. They want to help. They're not Bill Gates or anything.... Why are people so skeptical these days I wonder? It'll be damn good information, I know that without a doubt.

It might be the best information in the world, and those involved might have the best intentions, but the reason people become skeptical is when something is touted as "free" to hook people in, but then, upon closer inspection, registration is free, but to access information in a timely, easy way, you need to pay.

Free is great, when it's actually free.

There are plenty of organisations that actually do provide leading edge healthcare information for free every day via their websites, etc. There is no deception, no fine print. It's open and transparent. When something isn't open and transparent, that's when the skeptic in me rages.

I'd much rather they said 'We have this great seminar. You can hear the seminar on the phone for free as a once off (if that's what the deal actually is) but to access the information after that you need to pay $X'.

Eta - I'm not trying to dissuade anyone from participating. It might be great! Just don't give anyone your credit card number for "registration"
