    Fluid in scrotum

    After anyone else's experiences.

My little man has fluid in his scrotum. The mchn told me at his 3.5wk checkup that my doctor will need to monitor it. I pushed her for further info but she didn't really give me any, other than it happens during development during pregnancy and that the scrotum should look like a deflated balloon but his still looks swollen. She said it's not painful for him but it will need to be monitored.

Anyone else's little boys have this? Did it go away or require surgery later on?

    Fluid in scrotum

Our ds did at 1 week chn picked it up we went to paed but nothing needed to be done , I think it's fairly common and harmless it should go away fairly quickly , I think the only reason they get it checked by dr is just to make sure it's not something else like a twisted testicle

My younger brother had this, he had it monitor and then had it drained when he was 2yo.
