    The clomid crankies

Has anyone else been crazy cranky on clomid? I am day 4 of a round of clomid (100mg) and today I have been sooooooo cranky. Poor DS doesn't know what to think and dh gave me a very wide berth this morning to grumble in peace.

Will this awful feeling go away as soon as I stop taking the pills or will it take a while to wear off? I thought the headaches were bad enough but these mood swings are awful.

Heads off to do some more grizzling and grumbling.

sorry to hear mrs O'M - i never had any issues with clomid when i took the 100mg.

hope it clears up as soon as you have finished which i think would be one or two more days? and FX it is all worth it with a bub at the end!

I took 50mg for 3 months and it made me progressively more psycho each month, i would actually never take it again, it was bad for me. I can't remember how long it took to wear off, the whole period is a blur.

I really hope things settle down for you! Have you explained to your DH its the drugs? Poor Dhs have to put up with all our moods!

I had six cycles on clomid and, like Saffy, i got worse each cycle.

It effected me the whole month, not just while I took pills. Well, technically, the whole six months

Thanks ladies, I think I may have to break it gently to dh I may be cranky a bit longer. While he understands I think like me he was hoping the side effects would be temporary....

Sorry to hear Clomid isn't agreeing with you. I hope you only have to do this once with a great outcome at the end of it.

Thanks mrsB that's very kind. That's my hope too, in all honesty any side effects and discomfort they bring will be far overshadowed by the happiness of getting a good result, which at this stage is firstly just to ovulate!

How much longer do you need to stay on Clomid? Sorry I haven't started anything yet so I'm still learning
Did you break the news to hubby that you may be cranky abit longer? Lol. Our poor hubby's put up with so much from us women with all our hormonal changes.

I actually finsihed taking them yesterday. It was a 5 day window that they needed to be taken, and I am feeling a bit better, mostly because I am excited that there may be an ovulation heading my way soon

Hi Mrs O'M how are you feeling? When do you know when you have ovulated?

Hi I am about to start my third go at clomid. It makes me cranky too. I get really bad hot flushes and night sweats. I have these symptoms fora couple a week or two after asking the last pill. Just hoping it works soon.
