    What's all this pain about?!

Ok so this pregnancy is so different to my last its hard to tell what's going on in there. I've had bleeds since 14 weeks but that's fairly well monitored, and nothing I've read about low lying placenta mentions pain. It goes right thru my belly in intervals, usually only lasting around 15 seconds and then it'll do that on and off over an hour or so then ill be fine for a while after. It's not like the ligament stretchy pains, and it's not like contraction pain either, but it does get bad enough to stop me dead in my tracks and I have to rock thru it. Can happen any time of day or night so it cant be from overdoing it. Any thoughts on what I can do about it???

And you're sure its not BHs? I've always had them stronger than most but there was a marked difference between pregnancies, the last two (this time particularly!) at times they've been exactly the same as established labour! And I get them regularly but randomly every day (itms) if I don't have at least one every 1-1 1/2hrs I'm stoked. Hope you work it out soon

I had some very random strong pains in the second trimester too. They would make me stop and take my breath away. as you said, they are hard to describe. I have had a perfectly uncomplicated pregnancy but these pains prompted CTGs, scans, blood's etc to rule out anything being wrong. They eventually found a small fibroid that had appeared in the 2.5 weeks since my 18week scan. The doctors feel that the pain was probably "red degeneration" of the fibroid. Its actually pretty common and might be worth looking into? It meant nothing in regards to the pregnancy and I no longer get the pain. The doctor was so unconcerned about it im nit even having a 3rd tri scan lol

I've been having quite strong BH. Any time of the day or night and I usually have to stop for a second cos it's quite uncomfortable to walk while it is happening.

Sounds like an irritable uterus. Meaning that your uterus is contracting enough for you to feel it like mild contractions.

I'd mention it your healthcare provider next appointment and ask about how Magnesium can help

You can obviously do your own research on IU and magnesium
