Ummm no I'd find that a bit rude!
After a shopping trip this morning, I have a question. Is it ever ok to knowingly pick up someone else's shopping and investigate it?
I was in a supermarket earlier today, and had placed my items on the conveyor belt and talking to DS who pointed out the lady in front had something of ours. I just said 'excuse me', and before I could say anything else (I was just going to say that I think you have mistakenly grabbed my shopping), she said 'no need to be rude, I was just seeing what it was, and don't worry it's sealed'.. Um seriously, you were just checking out what I am buying?
Ummm no I'd find that a bit rude!
Yeah that's odd...
Err no? Rude! Who does that?
Rude and odd
Weird!
I think it's a little odd but not rude. She was rude in the way she spoke to you though. I think if I saw something interesting, I would feel OK to make conversation and ask the person about the product but I would never just pick up another person's item.
Who does that? I might look at it, but I certainly wouldn't pick it up! Wtf?
I ask but have never picked something up! That is a little odd.
You might look at it and ask you about it and even ask if you can have a closer look but I wouldn't just go and pick it up!
I thought picking it up was rude.. It was a piece of marinated steak, as a quick meal, so not really anything exciting.
Honestly, I would probably have still been taken by surprise if I was asked about part of my shopping, but no where near as shocked by her picking it up and then speaking to me like that.
Rude & strange. I might sneak a peak then go home & google it but I would never touch anyone's grocery items, I would feel violated if it was done to me
Yea....rude. Its food. Would you pick up someones...lets say burger in line at maccas....no why not...cause its rude and its food. You don't touch other peoples food. what the hell
Haha! Yeah rude and weird! What is wrong with people these days!?
A few days ago I had just started to load up my groceries on the conveyor belt when this woman lined up behind me. But she started to put her things up on the belt also and I had a full trolley of groceries that I had just started on! Theres no way we would both fit our groceries on. So it got to the end of my stuff and I had no room left because she had taken up all the space WTF??? Sooo rude!
If you looked open to conversation, I wouldn't hesitate to ask about it... 'Oh, I've looked at that steak and wondered if it's nice. Have you had it before?' But I would never pick it up!!
If someone started unloading their groceries onto the belt before I was done (and I clearly wasn't going to have room) I would also speak up, 'I'm sorry, I'm not done yet and I have a lot of groceries. Could you please wait until I've unloaded to start doing yours?'
Rude and weird. Ask do not touch.
And Tasha if someone started doing that and I was in the line I would have given them the death stare and then asked them to wait their turn. I thought it was called a Queue for a reason?! Sorry I know that in itself comes across rude but I cant stand impatient people and also people that get in my personal space when im trying to do something.
Omg I had that too recently Tasha! Except she also had alot of groceries! I got to the end of the room I had, and she refused to move her stuff, (she was watching so very well knew I needed more room) so after waiting for a couple seconds to see what she would do, I used that separator thing and pushed all her shopping back and moved my trolley back so I could keep loading (they didnt start scanning until it was all loaded) and gave her the biggest filthy look.
Seriously... she had a trolley too, can't yiu freaking WAIT to put your stuff on too?! Not hard!!
Gross, do not want anyone touching my shopping!
