OK, so Matty is 3 1/2 and not showing ANY signs of wanting to use the potty or the toilet. He will sit and watch his big brother. I've even had to ban him from having the "pleasure" of flushing the toilet because that's reserved for those of us who actually use the toilet.
He's been bribed with chocolate, lollies and even the offer that he can go and pick out a light up pillow pet, yet will sit and hold it.
He wears jocks all day and NOTHING!! Not even a drip - he holds EVERYTHING in. I can't even imagine the pain of it all!!
I waited last night until he must have been about to pop and still nothing. I even put his hand in warm water and sat there with two buckets of water to make the sound of dribbling water. DH said he had to go, but Matty was still refusing.
He had a bath - nothing. Then his pull up went on and he disappeared in to a corner and filled the nappy from the day's takings.
I am at a loss. Do I give him M&Ms for doing it in his nappy, so that he feels like it's worthy of a reward? We're being very encouraging and making it sound like great fun! He will even follow us to the toilet and watch the whole process!
He's such a determined little boy! Anyone else had this?
My DD is 3 and a year ago was going well on the toilet and potty has no pulled back and even though she loves to wear pretty undies will still go in get undies and Nappies .. She will not go near the toilet and refuses to have a try ..
If she was holding all day I would e worried it could effect get health and I would put her straight bak into Nappies or pull-ups and wait a while and try again In a few months ..
