Clothes detergent stains?

I have stains on my linen pants from the new clothes detergent I used (I can only assume that's what it is!) How do I get them out? These are my favorite pants! (And one of the only pairs that fit )

Someone once told me white vinegar is meant to work. I think you need to use with bi carb soda but I'm not sure.

I am soooo hoping that it's not permanent. I seriously adore these pants, and to add insult to injury, the button on the only pair of jeans I own just popped off today (they are a few years old!). So I am in serious need of my beloved pants! Minus the stains I hope....

I hate it when the old faithfuls start dying. You could always try a dry cleaners??

We live in the sticks and there isn't one near where I live. Maybe it's just time to spend some money and buy some new ones! Though it's hard when I have to get it all online and can't try it on and I'm not sure what size I *really* am....or that every shop is different in it's sizing!
