    Baby wraps

So with my DD we wrapped her in a sheet which worked well , never to tight , and she loved her arms wrapped up near her head ,then we moved her Into sleeping bags ...so 3 years on ..
What has everyone else used for their babies ? Any recommendations ? x

Have always wrapped our boys when they were bubs, arms across their chests then a blanket over them tucked in. Moved onto bags when they were around 4 months old, no other blanket. Moo wouldn't be without his bag until he moved into a big boy bed around 2 years. Buster still has a bag at 17 months.

My bub can't sleep unwrapped and he uses the love to dream zip up swaddles that have their arms up next to their heads. He didn't like being swaddled so this was the best option and has worked well.

We also used the love to dream zip up swaddles. They were a lifesaver for us, and I'll definitely be using them again this time

We loved the love to dream swaddles too. I think they helped DD sleep longer.

Our faves are aden and anais. They are made of muslin, come in very cute prints and are huge! They also do a very cosy blanket that is I think 4 layers of muslin.

Would you recommend the muslin swaddles or the blanket for a july winter newborn ? Or are the blankets just blankets and not wraps ?

The blanket is pretty big but I wouldn't wrap with it, just because it's 4 layers and would be quite bulky You could put two wraps together and swaddle though I think. Plus with the wraps, because they are large they come right up over their chests so are super cosy.

Living textiles do 120x120cm muslin wraps which work well. In winter you could tuck a blanket over the top. Or pop to Spotlight and buy some flanelette material and make 120cm or bigger square wraps yourself? Anything less than 120cm don't last very long IME.
Also IME all kids are different and while my DD liked hands up near her face in the Love Me Wraps, DS had to be double wrapped hands by his side.

this was what I did, and they were some of my faves. my other faves was waffle woven? type wraps with a bit of stretch. don't know what brand, but the stretch meant I could do it tight if needed.

in winter, I put a small blanket over the wrapped baby too.

Softy you can get them at baby bunting or eBay. Also look at the sleep store online, they had them half price recently.

We also used the dream zip up swaddles which DS adored and are now on the aden & anais sleeping bags, we have a winter 4 layer muslin one and a couple of single muslin layer summer ones.

We got a couple of things , one thing I was wondering was with the love to dream swaddle .. We tried it last night and I notice that when I pop her to lay down when in it that she doesn't lay on her back but lays slightly to her side while in it .. Is this ok?
