    bed wetting

So Miss DD2 has started wetting the bed of a night time, no idea why though! She has been toilet trained for awhile now, and granted she is only 30mths old, however she was the one that wanted to start training and wear big girl undies! I wasn't ready as she is my last baby so was more than happy for her to be in nappies for a lot longer LOL.

But now for the past maybe 2 weeks she has been wetting her bed during the night. We did find out that the kindy was putting her down for a nap in a nappy (we were not impressed) but that was a while ago and at home she naps fine with no accidents. We have also brought a special light for the toilet so she can turn it on at night, have started opening her door when we go to bed, and we limit what she drinks before bed.

I am a bit over changing sheets in the middle of the night and washing every morning. We have never gotten cranky at her for having these accidents, but don't know why they are happening.

Would it be bad to put her in pulls ups at night? or is this going backwards?

any ideas on why this is happening and anything else we can try?

she hasn't got a UTI or something?
Sometimes I think its normal to have a period like this, Jboy has done the same, the only thing we did is make sure he goes to the toilet before he goes to bed, then when I go to bed, I pick him up and sit him on the toilet, he will go even asleep! LOL
Haven't had to do so for awhile now though...
and yes, I think using pull ups will be a step backward but hey, its your girl, youre the one doing the washing!! do what you feel needs must!

We tried waking her up to go before we go to bed but it stresses her out toooo much, she screams and cry something terrible! If she had a uti wouldn't that bother her during the day?

I would put her back in pull ups but I'm all for less washing. However, I would probably have a lot more washing than you do LOL

Cold nights could also be A factor. DS1 tt'd during summer & then started wetting over the winter on & off. It may take her a little while for her body to get used to the cold nights.

Ahhhh good point Hansie! wish I saw this sooner, I may have been able to put up with it for another night or two, but I have just put her to bed.................... in pull ups!!!!!!!! I feel so so bad for doing so but seriously I'm tired and over washing!

I am a hypocrite! here I was not impressed with the Kindy confusing her and now I am doing the same thing

I think I did the same with DS1, but I made it into a game to see how long he could keep his pull up dry! Think I read it somewhere. DS tt'd 28months so I just explained that his body needed to get used to the cold weather so that if he did wet the pull up it wasn't such a big deal but he didn't rely on it being there the incentive was to keep it dry!

Ok I did try and tell her she still had to wake us if she needed to go to the toilet! but she is all for games so I might try the same thing, and throw in "rewards" if she doesn't wet them?!
