    Pessary for thrush...question some TMI

Is it meant to dissolve totally? The lovely thrush has appeared after antibiotics for an infected tooth and chemist gave me the 6 day pessary. First day after I had put it in night before, it worked itself out by the afternoon but was very soft and dissolved.
But both yesterday and today, when I felt it was still in there whole and not dissolved at all. Is that normal? Shouldn't it dissolve? Do I get it out before putting a new one in? The brochure with it doesn't answer any of those questions!

I would suggest that you find the number of a pharmacist (a 24 hour one, or late night, if needed), and just ask to speak to the pharmacist. It is their job to know these kind of things, and they are usually more than happy to answer those kind of questions over the phone.

Have you thought of the diflucan one capsule (oral) instead? I've used it recently and it was good. Just one oral dose! Struggling with a couple of bouts of nipple thrush (which started after abx) and now on abx again - sigh!!

It seems to be working though, the itching is much better so???? Don't want to buy something different as I've already paid for what I have. Thanks.
