Going rate. What would you pay?

How much would you pay a babysitter who is travelling an hour each way to look after 4 kids aged 3 - 8 all day Saturday (say 8am - 8pm) and all day Sunday (8am - 4pm)? Would this change if they had a cc qual??

What is the going rate for a CC trained babysitter???

Then they would most likely *not* be a "babysitter", you would pay them as you would a nanny.

Casual going rate for a qualified and/or experienced nanny is about $35 an hour.

Babysitting is around the $25 an hour mark for experienced sitters. They usually have min and max hours too - usually this is around 10 shifts for a nanny through an agency, max 12 hours.

    I honestly wouldn't have a clue, but perhaps $100 - $150 per day?

To put a child into childcare for a day without any CCR or CCB can be anywhere from $70 to 90 per day per child.

Wow $35/hr for a nanny?! Assuming that's tax free that is a lot. That's similar to my hourly rate after tax and I have a PhD lol
