    Claiming child care

What is the easiest way to claim rebate & CCB? Our centre for DD2 do it as reduced fee's, but DD1's school has recently become approved and bill you the full amount. Can I do this for DD1 online?

Yes you can claim online. But it may take a few weeks to be processed. Over the phone it can be done straight away (provided your dd is a child you are claiming ftb for)

Thank you. Online is easier. We don't get FTB.

Ok so where can I claim back what I've paid? I can't seem to find it in the child care section.

If they are an approved centre you can only claim from now going forward. You have to do a lump sun claim at tax time for anything before now
If they are a registered centre, its a different process. I have started a thread about the different care types with links to the website. You should be able to download the form from online. If they are registered you have up to 12 months to lodge the paperwork from the first date care is used. Most people claim by term or every six months.

It's ok - I called c'link today & they confirmed the school needs to send the data through so parents can claim. Now the bursar is being an a$$ about it.

    Thanks for your help
