DS is 12 weeks old and is such an inconsistent night sleeper.
One night he might sleep for 6-7, then 2-3 hours. The following night could be 3 then 2 then 1 then 1 hour. There seems to be no rhyme or reason to this eg lots of day sleep or little day sleep, lots of feeding in evening vs vomiting all his feed - no pattern I can see makes a difference.
I'm not phased by getting up (he's a baby!) it's the inconsistency that I'm finding hard. DD was sleeping 8 hours in a row every night at this age!
Just wondering if anyone else has been through this too and how long it lasted? He has silent reflux (though has started vomiting more in the last two weeks) and is on losec.
Poor bub, silent reflux :-( I'm not an expert but I'd say no pattern would be due to the reflux. DD1 had severe reflux until around 8 mths old, she self regulated by becoming a 'snacker' & feeding every hour day & night. If say if you're ok with it go with it, he may be hungrier or extra tired on diff days so makes up for it, reflux is hard & hard to watch bub go through it so if you're not too tired maybe let him lead you & maybe write down what he does for a few days, you might see a pattern over a few days?? I only had DD1 to think about so I just went with what she needed but you have another one to think of & run around after so that might not suit you, good luck reflux is very hard :-)
