Reflux returning or possible milk intolerance?

My DD has been driving us to exhaustion. We have had 8 weeks of long night wakings and I'm always questioning if there is more behind it.

She is 19 months old. After waking there have been many times that I hear her swallowing a couple of times. Could this be reflux returning? She can then stay awake for 2 hours.

She doesn't want to chew her food and I'm pureeing it as otherwise she won't eat.

She has been getting a cold or sick continuously which makes me think of a milk intolerance. In the last 8 weeks only two weeks she wasn't coughing or runny nose.

Any ideas would be great. Thanks if you can make sense of my jumbled thoughts!

hmm. Not sure Jan. I would have thought if she was beyond the reflux then it would be unlikely to return- they really only get beyond it because their little digestive systems finally develop enough/strengthen. If she's only wanting purees my first thought would be that she has either a sore throat (which would make sense given what you've said about her colds), tonsilitis or maybe she's getting a molar through and is just generally a bit mouth sore?

If you haven't done so already, maybe just take her to the GP for a general once over.

Sorry to hear you're not getting much sleep. I hope everything settles soon so you can get back to normal.
