    Tetanus injections for children?

    Hey everyone,
I am just wondering when they need another injection, I looked at the register and they got their last booster at 4 and my ds is now 11 do they need another on yet or just wait and see if there is an injury? I am filling out a form and was just wondering.
    TIA

Are you meant to get a booster every 10 years?

Tetanus boosters are given every 10 years. In the case of a high risk injury, a booster will be given after 5 years. A booster is also given if, when asked about their last tetanus booster, the patient responds, 'um, dunno. Can't remember?'. This is by far the most common response from an adult!

Once he starts high school they will provide you with the consent forms and information for it and it will be done through the school vaccination program.
