    Matress for trundle bed?

    Evening ladies

What sort of matress have you got for your trundle bed if you have one. DS will be 4 at the end of September. I am looking to get a matress for his trundle bed for when his little friends come for sleep overs. I am thinking as they are still so wee to just get a foam matress - won't be used that often and they are all still light. When he is about 6 or so I can then buy a "real" matress. We used the blow up sleepover beds with built in sleeping bags during the summer but now that its winter and so much colder think that it will be better using a trundle.

    What do you think?

Any mattress should be fine (though double check the height of the gap between the bed and trundle base with the mattress).

You can get waterproof mattress protectors to protect from accidents. I used that for my boys and they never leaked through

I just got a foam one from Bunnings for our trundle. It was quite cheap but it isn't used enough to warrant buying a good one.

We have a foam one, I've slept on it and it's fine.

We have a good quality foam one (from
Forty Winks) on DD1's trundle. We said we were happy to buy a decent one at the time as we could be sleeping on it from time to time but the assistant assured us it would be more the sufficient and fine for adults too. It's comfy and both DH and I have slept well on it.
