    Recently weaned 10 month old.

hi there, I have a few questions. My dd decided a few weeks ago that breast was no longer for her I am of course devastated. I continued to offer and she took it back up for a few days but then refused again. I pumped for comfort at the start and now I pretty much only have some little drops left in there.
How can I help with the pain from milk still being in there but not coming out very much?
how many bottles a day should she be having? she has 3 during the day and one overnight as well as 3 solid meals a day and sometimes snacks as well as water throughout the day. Does it sound like I have it covered?

Cold cabbage leaves are good for inflammation. Keep an eye out for lumps too.

If you wanted to keep offering her the breast I would be pretty certain she would take it again. It is very unusual for a baby to self wean at such a young age. If youre interested google nursing strike or search on the forums here. Teething, illness and growth spurts can all spark a nursing strike.

I'm not questioning your experience but just wanted to add if you wanted to continue breastfeeding it wouldn't take long to build your supply back up again.

Weaning is an emotional time so look after yourself.

Ddb she sounds like she is having sufficient food, from about her age I was giving 3 solid meals & 2 small snacks, I kept having to remember to offer water though.

Bottles, I think DS was on 4 back then, but he has been on 3 since about 11 months.

She will tell you if she is hungry, so don't stress too much

    Thank you BubbaT.

Arcadia, I continue to offer but she just refuses and I cannot pump, it just doesn't come out.
