    Non-milestones!

Maybe it is just me but sometimes when i see posts from people asking questions because they are worried and just want reassurance they are doing a good job and there kids will turn out okay. Everyone talks about milestones like talking and walking etc, but i wondered if anyone else had a kids that was delayed in these areas but AWESOME at something and felt like bragging?

*** My DD1 is awesome at roaring like a dinosaur - she is ROARSOME

Oh goodness yes! Amelia's speech is nowhere near where it should be, but her physical skills are amazing I was reading a book with a few "your child should be doing such-and-such by now" and I peeked at what would be coming next - some of the fine motor skills she should apparently be developing in a year or so, she's been doing for MONTHS That's been happening since she was about a year old, I'd look at what's coming next and find she's already doing it all

She's also an amazing dancer, and given the right circumstances she will even bow at the end of a performance

DD2 likes to practise faces and have me copy them which I thought was neat (sad, happy, mad), she's 18mo.

My ds can kick balls better than his mum

Dd is a really groovy dancer and makes me film her, play it back then she does it again with improvements. Hilarious.

I have decided that my daughter is a future CEO, she can ROAR at people and after i clean up she always tells her dad 'I did it', so she has the taking credit for other people's work thing down pat

My Moo is almost 4 and knows all the different trucks and their jobs Heaven forbid you are too flippant with your names ('that's not a double dumper, that's a double dump truck! lol) or make the wrong noise to go with it!

Buster is 19 months and the amount of food he can put away is incredible. He can hear you chewing from anywhere in the house and will come running for his share!

Dd2 can cluck her tongue on the roof of her mouth louder than anyone I've ever heard! Her ability to remember random obscure events at odd moments is also pretty amazing.

DS4 can dribble a soccer ball the full length of the field and back without missing a kick (which I think is awesome for 3yrs old) and DS2 has apparently got the loudest clicking fingers on the whole of bus No. 18 on the way to school. Love this thread as it makes me smile

I just had a vison of all these kids growing up and starting a band called the Non-Milestones. Imagine if you combined all the clicking fingers, tongue-clucking, roaring, arm-fart noise makers together in a band and added in the booty-shaker, high heel wearing kids as dancers. Throw in a few ball dribblers for added entertainment and the very particular kids for management and they would conque the world
I know for a fact HotI has a kid that makes up the funniest most awesome lyrics in nursery ryhmes so we would be set for a lead singer too!

DS is an awesome rhymer (makes up his own songs and rhymes) and dinosaur recogniser ('Look at that parasauralophus Mum!'), but his best 'talent' is his stubbornness. Never gives in, never compromises, never backs down....

    Love, love, love this thread!

My kids are awesome at staying awake and energised for hours and hours.

DS is quite proficient at the ninja blurt - you will be kneeling down on the floor, and he comes up behind you, pulls your top up and blurts on your back. He is also a master climber and will climb ladders, doll house, furniture, cars...

DD loves to make the words up to songs. She makes me laugh often and tells great stories. She loves surprises (giving or getting them) and teaching her brother stuff.

    They both love a boogy.
