I just got a receipt for our kinder fees and it says that it's a receipt for Registered Child Care Benefit.
We receive FTB A & B. I haven't put down that DD1 goes to 3yo kinder. I didn't think it classified as child care. Am I supposed to? She only goes 5 hours per week (2 1/2 hr sessions).
Am I supposed to put in a claim for a child care allowance or something?
Clearly I have no clue about any of this. I was under the impression that 3yo kinder was on us with no rebate.

I don't know specifics, but our 3 yo kinder teacher said some people can get a rebate. She says its not much, and I don't know whether its CCR or CCB (have never had to claim before now), but yes, you might get something.
There is an amount you can claim if both yourself and dh meet te work study training test. You claim it after the care has been used (up to a year later). I have started a thread about CCB on here. It briefly explains registered care and links to the human services site to explain how to claim.
It's only about 60c and hour so is suggest waiting til end of year and claiming all year at once
