    Sex @ 30w pregnant.

This might be a bit TMI lol!

Last night after having only DTD one other time this pregnancy at about 16weeks I initiated sex. But it was a massive fail. My legs cramp up everytime I O or try to use them in any position. DF couldnt be on top as he kept squashing my belly and it hurt. And couldnt stand up as he was too sore from the gym.

So we gave up. I felt soo bad and like a complete failure of a wifey for not being able to do even that one basic thing for him. Especially after it was me that initiated it in the first place!

So what DOES work when you have fatigued muscles (both of us), crampy legs and a huge belly getting in the way?

And is it normal to have sore ligaments and BH the next day, after DTD while pregnant after such a long break?

You could lie on your side with him behind you. Give your legs a stretch out beforehand.

For cramping I have to keep my legs warm, cover them with my doona. I also have to slightly bend them. Dh behind you while laying down is prob the easiest for you both.

LOL, I remember DTD at 40 weeks pregnant with DD2. It involved a lot of pillows. So romantic! I think Arimeh's suggestion is the way to go.

I've been pregnant a few times now and been to 42 weeks or close enough quite a few times as well - I think I'm experienced in trying to get around the belly now LOL

Yup on your side kinda spooning works well. Maybe consider a good magnesium supplement for the cramping too.

LOL, sex whist pregnant is anything but romantic....well for me anyway! Maybe some magnesium tablets could help with the cramping, I'm pretty sure they're safe during pregnancy (though, ask you doc or midwife first!). Good luck though.

I always find doggy style works too. So far we still use the missionary DH just can't lay down and cuddle me afterwards. So cuddling comes after the clean up

    This.

Have a warm shower or bath first and stretch in there.

yep. spooning. I was always a fan of what I call the sideways butterfly. its like spooning but you kinda rotate around so one leg is over the top of him and the other is between his.. knee bent. you won't be on your back... but not quite on your side either.

this worked at 41 weeks. ... and as you know I got huge lol. Sorry about the graphic description there, but you'll thank me later.

We have found standing and missionary to be best. I personally prefer sex while pg because of increased sensitivity, but this also means spooning etc is too intense. I find orgasms so intense later on though with insane BH for hours afterwards.

Sitting on the dining table, with DH kind of angling from under a little.

You can even have chairs on either side of him, to support your feet if dangling makes them crampy.

    Have fun!

Lol thanks. I really have zero sex drive but I feel awful for DF. The only time we have had a sex life in the last 5 years is when ttc. So I made a bit of extra effort to do it anyway and its a total fail.
Even gentle walking sets off the tightenings so I think sex and quite a few other things are now going to have to be put on hold.
It'll be just ds and I home tomorrow. Hoping some gentle housework and basics for DS will be ok. No idea what we'll do about getting to swimming on Tues. I normally walk as I dont have a licence...

Hugs calluna. I also have an irritable uterus and I reckon I'm getting BH at 14 weeks *sigh*. It's a balancing act that's for sure.
