    Weird noises when sleeping..

DD is almost 4 weeks old and I have noticed she will make noises all through her sleeps. She makes the same noise usually it's like a little grunt, kinda sounds like a lamb But she will do this off and on through the entire sleep. I have been putting her down in the lounge and then sleeping in our bed because I wake constantly when i can hear it.

Anyone else experienced something like this?

Yup our little one made some very strange noises in his sleep, still does but we have just gotten used to it. He's had multiple checks & everything is fine.

Yep, most newborns are totally noisy, grunty, loud little sleepers. It's pretty funny but yeah, can definitely keep you awake at night! Both my girls were noisy sleepers for a fair few months.

My DS was so loud we had to move him to a different room when he was 2 weeks old because he kept us awake LOL

The girls have been a bit quieter, I prefer a louder baby though because at least you know they are ok and you don't have to worry if they are silent.

My ds was insanely grunty. Took us all a while to get used to!

My DD2 was super noisy too. And a very noisy feeder as well.

This is yet another thing that no-one realises until they have a baby - they are noisy little sleepers!

My friend had to move her baby out of their room in first week because she sounded like a barn yard

Haha, we laugh because it does sound like animal sounds! She sounds like a sheep. Our house is only small so I can still hear her in the lounge, I just close our door! Lol no way could I put the bassinet in our room

Heaven, she is a loud feeder too. Makes noises the whole feed. And she is always stretching her arms out during

That's why the phrase "sleeping like a baby" is so ridiculous. People who have actually seen/heard a baby sleep don't use that phrase!!!

Both my DDs have done it. I struggled to sleep with DD1 in the room. I knew what to expect for DD2. They do stop eventually.

This is part of why we've never had baby monitors, etc. Babies frequently sounds like snuffly snorty growly self eaty wombats in their sleep, and while feeding.

It's adorable when you're watching them, sighing at how perfect they are.

It's terrible when it happens All. Night. causing you to get absolutely no sleep, and to have daytime nightmares that something is coming under your covers to eat your toes.

They do grow out of it, some time between 3 months and 35 years.

Lol isn't it hilarious! We were kept up by DD sounding like a pig next to our bed, we'd be so annoyed that we weren't sleeping but as soon as she was silent we panicked that there was something wrong! You just can't win lol.

Spock was nicknamed snuffle pig when she was a baby because of the snoring and grunting.
on a slightly related note I don't know what she was dreaming of last night but she was signing in her sleep, her sign for foodand milk. was rather cute.
