What is your best strip wash for nappies?

I've got some MCNs (bamboo fill) and terry square flats, all of which have been getting a fair work out, over the past three years.

They're not as absorbent as they once were ...

I've tried a strip wash but it really didn't help. I suspect I've done it incorrectly.

Break it down for me, please: what is your die hard never fail strip wash method?
