PPL Question- Employer Payments vs Centrelink Payments

I have just started looking at PPL and I am not sure what I should do about employer payments vs centrelink given my situation. My employer is a recruitment agency and I am employed on a labour hire basis as the company I "work" for does not hire direct employees as it is project work. This means I get no leave entitlements so there is no unpaid maternity leave provisions. As I have been here for ages though the company I "work" for have offered to hold my position open for me (although neither they or my employer have a legal obligation to) but they may be shutting down soon as there isnt any projects coming up for us to do. This is very up in the air at the moment so nothing is guaranteed.

So when asked the question "do you intend on returning to work" I cant actually answer that properly. Yes if there is work I would like to come back after my PPL but would I be better off saying no as I have no legal obligation to any form of leave (paid or unpaid) through my employer? If the company I "work" for does shut down my employer will terminate my contract straight away. If I did get Centrelink to pay my PPL direct to me would it matter if I did end up returning after my PPL finished?

No. You won't have any dramas if you say you're not returning to work under those circs.
