Pre teens, double beds and where to keep their toys.

We're looking at getting the kids double beds, their rooms are big enough but they will lose some floor space (obviously!)

They are 11 and 7 so still have toys but not as many as they use to, when your kids got older where did you keep their toys? We can either put it all in the family room (there's a separate lounge room) or I'm thinking of the draw storage system from ikea for in their wardrobes (their wardrobes are pretty big).

I think they are getting to the age where their room should be their sanctuary, a space to relax, escape each other if they want to, listen to their own music, read, etc but DH hates the idea of the toys being in the family room.

When I was a kid we kept our toys in a tub in the bottom of our wardrobe. My kids had toyboxes. Ikea has some pretty good under bed storage too.

DD11 has asked if we can sell her toys on so she can put the money towards something she's had her eye on (or been asking me to buy lol) for a while.
