Question Buying a home in Victoria (Non-first home buyers)

Can someone tell me roughly, the process/costs involved with buying a house (established) in Victoria?

ExH and I build in WA, so I am not eligible for any first-home buyers stuff, and we also didn't have to pay any stamp duty due to the way it works over there for first-home buyers.

So I am wondering what costs/processes are involved with buying an established home as a non-first time buyer here - aside from the cost of the house itself, obviously.

    TIA!

I found a mortgage calculator which includes stamp duty on the NAB website. Want me to link you?

Other than establishing the mortgage, as Tinks said there is stamp duty(highest in Australia I think- oh joy), conveyancing fees, usually around $750- 1000 ish for a purchase and moving costs. Good luck!!! Lots of stamp duty fee calculators around to help figure out costs you need to pay on top of the house price.

    Oh great, thanks ladies!

I'm with NAB, I'll check out the website.

Won't be happening anytime soon, but just wondering how far off I am at the moment.
