ds is finally recovering from bad tummy bug, and I would like to get him some probiotics to help his tummy get strong again. he has dairy intolerance so dairy free is preferable.
while I'm giving them to ds, might as well give DD a boost too.
ds is almost 20 months, and dd is 3.5years. what are good brands of probiotics, and where is best place to get them.
Baby biotics. I get it online and it gets sent with a little cold pack. The website asks for a practitioner name as it's practitioner only but I just put in my GP name or my homeopath and they've never checked.
The baby biotics one contains dairy hotI but naturopath said it is fine in kids that don't have really bad reactions as its only a small amount. But DD used to react to it. But it does say dairy free even though it contains a really sm,all amount apparently :/
Baby biotics is good. We upgraded to Klaire Labs Ther-Biotic. Can you get that around you? It's super potent and has done good things for my youngest son. We get the powder and he eats it off a spoon. I've been giving him probiotic powder on a spoon since he was a baby though. Otherwise it stirs in super easy into yogurt or anything.
thanks for the suggestions. I finally found some baby biotics (when I was passing through southern cross train station). will look online if I find it helps.
how do you give it to your little ones? I mixed it with a spoon of fruit which worked, but just looking for other ideas. I want to make sure he gets whole dose. does it dissolve in water or juice?
how long till you saw benefits, or were the effects more subtle.
I've been giving my kids the powdered Inner Health Plus from the chemist. I have noticed other brands at the health food stores etc and wondered what the difference is??? Does anyone buy one brand in preference to another, and why?
I use baby biotic for my ten month old and almost three year old.
Santosha my naturopath told me she would only recommend the practitioner brands like bioceuticals as the others aren't very effective. I have also found activia yoghurt is great although the downfall is the sugar and the flavour added. Have you considered trying kefir?
