    Bank statements

When supplying bank statements to centrelink how far back do they have to go and can they be internet copies or do they have to be originals?

Normally all it has to have is your current balance. Well that's all I have ever needed to supply

Depends on the reason for the bank statement request. Generally for a new claim as long as it shows the balance on the day you have first claimed (not the date of your interview, the date you first made contact to claim) it shousk be ok. I tend to suggest something that shows a couple of days beforehand as well. If it is for verification of anything else you need to supply the period outlined in Your request letter

If its for a new claim it would generally be the date he is claiming. If its a preclaim (before he hits pension age) is suggest he takes in something with maybe the past fortnight on it.
