Present ideas for 2 year old boy

As the thread title states, I'm looking for present ideas for my 2yo DS2. It's both Christmas and birthday I need (they are 5 days apart). My problem is we bought all the obvious stuff the first time around for DS1, so we have stacks of ride ons, Thomas trains, cars, action figures, books etc...I look through the toy catalogues and my kids seem to have it all already - awful I know, but the first nephew/grandchild on my side was spoilt my the whole family. So, in short, I'm stumped. They are both getting a trampoline for Christmas and DS1 is getting a "big boy bike" but I just have no idea beyond the usual few clothes, a special book...

    Any ideas?

    Duplo?

Check the other hot thread on lego duplo. It sounds like a must get toy

Duplo is definitely an option, we already have a HUGE Lego collection and my DH wasn't keen on the Duplo

Those wooden fruits/foods that velcro together and cut apart? Fun for having pretend picnics

Except for the piano - we have all these things - it is seriously insane the amount of toys we have - most not bought by me! Lots and lots are hand me downs from my DHs older neices and nephews!

All good suggestions though! I was thinking of one of those roller coaster outdoor toys - until I realized they were $300!

I would just do this and maybe a special trip like someone suggested - that is what I do with DS - they are 2 they have no idea, they have no concept of whether they are getting equivalent to their siblings etc. Get one of the ride on's you already have and do it up with some stickers etc so it is then specific for your DS2.

I have 4 boys and my youngest turns 2 late November. I feel your pain as we having everything plus more, and he gets all the hand me down bikes etc.

My boys loved paying with kitchens, also supermarkets. Maybe you could look at a cash register, trolley pretend groceries etc.

If not in a big boy bed maybe just give him that and a cool doona cover just for him.

Backpack? Lunchbox, drink bottle - personalised? Hat? Bedding? A personalised memory board for hanging special pictures/photos/memories etc? Photo album?

Sounds like you have heaps of toys, so maybe he doesn't need more....

I agree that a special day out would be a good idea too.

Exactly the same problem here. I am going to get him a balance bike. Kmart have small cheap ones until he is big enough for a wooden one and a duplo train.

Apart from that I'm completely out of ideas.
