Coffee Cart/ Pop up coffee shop at school

Does anyone have one of these located out the front of your child school?
Are they busy? Do they have good prices?
I saw some in QLD when I was there and thought it was an awesome idea! Busy mums/dads dropping kids off in the morning - why didn't I think of that LOL

We don't have them at schools near me but that's a great idea! Where I live there are a couple of them along the roadside. They are always busy.

That is a good idea! I know I would utilise it for sure!

I know as a teacher I would utilise that LOL! Often I will stop at a bakery and grab a coffee before i get to school. But then I bet most schools would actually hate them because they would make a congested high traffic area even more congested. Schools have limited parking at the best of times so they need parents to drop off and go reasonably quickly to keep the flow of traffic moving, but if you had a coffee cart there it would make it worse because people would hang around waiting for their double-mocha-skinny-soy-latte and not move on quick enough, meaning other people would have trouble finding parking spaces.

I'd have loved a coffee cart at lunchtimes when I was a teacher...what a great idea!

I get that schools wouldn't like them at drop off/pick up times though.

Not sure about at schools due to congestion issue (round here most schools have a coffee shop within 150 meters anyway) - however there are a few parks that would benefit from a coffee van dropping buy. I know we often pick a park for meet ups based on accessibility of coffee and the parks I am thinking of that could benefit the times people use are fairly consistent.

There's a bloke back home, near Coffs Harbour, who had a van set up. 'The Coffee Bean' I think he called it? He used to turn up down our way all the time during Summer. Not at schools, but he was everywhere! Woolies car park, the beach, markets etc.

Ha ha, if anyone has ever travelled through Macksville on the Pacific Highway (about half way between Coffs & Kempsey), you may have even seen him sitting along the highway! Over the Christmas period it can take 30 minutes or more to get through from South Macksville to North Macksville - maybe an 8 km drive - & he is often right there on the side of the highway for the travellers Awesome spot to sit & we used to get our order while waiting to get out onto the highway

The local coppers would sure have something to say about one inside a school zone. School parents are notoriously bad for doing silly things....imagine if they were hanging for a coffee and one was in sight!!
