3 month old, exclusively EBM, but very smelly gas

My 3 month old DD is bottle fed breast milk. She was previously having a dirty nappy at each change, but over the past month or so it's reduced to once every few days, which I know is normal for breast milk. But she has the smelliest farts!! To start with I was blaming DH, then thought it must have been the cat.. but I've realised the smell really is coming from my sweet little girl!! It's horrible!!! Is that normal? I don't remember my boys being smelly until we switched to formula/started solids.

Could it be my diet causing her smelly bottom end?

It wasn't just gas here but the poos too. Everyone says breastfed babies don't smell, but they LIE!

I imagine it's within the range of normal If you have any other concerns with your baby, then perhaps discuss it with your health carer?

A good friend had this issue with her exclusively breast fed DD, and they ended up testing eliminating different thing from her diet.

Cruciferous veggies and bulb veggies were the issue in the end, I think.

Dairy was the other major one they tested.

    Good luck!

Thanks Glad to see it seems to be nothing to be worried about. May need to invest in some gas masks! haha.
