teething and snotty nose?

Is there a connection?

Yesterday i noticed DD ( finally) had her first tooth cutting, after 4 months of on and off teethign symptoms. The same time she started havign a snotty nose from one nostril- clear, but running like a tap.
Is this from teething? She was fine before this.
Last night was a shocker as she ( and me) didn't sleep well at all, kept waking up from all the snot, today its both nostrils running.

Or is it more likely to be a cold?

I guess it doesn't really matter either way anyway.

Really hoping all teeth aren't this difficult as she really suffers from it :-(

I don't know the scientific answer but anecdotally yes, they are often connected.

oh well, I found out that she is sick- the baby she had a playdate with on Monday has a snotty nose and fever too.
Glad its not just from teething, it was a bit extreme.
