Checking my kidneys at 34week growth ultrasound

Why were they checking my kidneys at Bub 34week growth ultrasound?
Just wondering is all, is it routine? Or did they add it on because they found something...?

Every ultrasound I've had recently they have checked my kidneys so maybe it's something routine they do now??

I've recently had a separate ultrasound to check mine as I've had frequent recurring UTI's this pregnancy....don't suppose that's it?

every preg ultrasound i have had they first check my kidneys, both sides, and then take a look at baby.
