Updating education details - which date?

Been online and noticed the site keeps on advising me that DD2 is not listed as going to school, which she is correct, she is going next year.

I went in the education section to advise that she is enrolled full time for next year. It asked for date. What date should this be? 1 Jan 2014, start of calender year, or 30 Jan 2014 when school lets the students attend?

Also how important is this info? I know it is currently connected to School kids bonus, which I have no idea if it will still be around for next year anyway. Is there anything else is affects?

    Thanks

ETA: next year, not next week

I'd put the school starting date, for my son, it's 31st January.
My DD2 started this year, it update that she started school, but didn't update the CCB section that she was, in return, I was getting cheaper after school care rate then I was entitled too... And ended up with a debt. So I'd just make sure next year, you ring and confirm all sections are updated!

I'm pretty sure it's solely for the purpose of the School Kids bonus. I just did it also for DD12 (thanks for the reminder) and put the actual date they start and finish school. It didn't ask about dates for High School though.

it's important for ccb - the ccb for a school aged child is not as high as the ccb for a non-school aged child

put in the date she will commence school, not jan 1 - school kids bonus (if it still exists - as it is supposedly to be scrapped) will recognise that she started school in that six month period and will still be paid
