    Wash it.
I did already, to no avail. my blender is the old fashion type no auto reverse or button for washing up, have to do it manually.

Try pouring in boiling water so it softens and hopefully comes out.

I don't understand where it could get stuck, isnt a blender just a jug with blades that you can take apart to wash anywya?

Because I am a woman of many talents I have managed to get bits of carrot and apple stuck in between the plasticy bit and the blade. And because I am a delicate little flower I have gone at it with a fork/knife/skewer until the bit either fell out or was so finely diced that it could of been used as a relish.

Not all blenders have detachable blades.

I didn't mean the bades, I meant you take the jug off the motor to wash.

Still don't understand where it is stuck though

I don't even own a blender so really have no idea what I'm actually talking about anyway

Chop ice. It will clean between the blades. Even if the blender doesn't chop ice well.

Did you try the ice. It's fail proof.

I bought it pretty cheap for only $50 and when we blend food particularly carrots it sticks to the sides so we have to stop the blender a lot of times to push the food back down so that blades hit it.the last time i used it, the food was pushed backed too much causing the blade to stop rotating. Is this common, or a more expensive blender would solve my problem?

it won't rotate anymore. isn't ice is harder than carrots? we're thinking the problem is in the motor already, lesson here i guess, buy a known, tested brand )

If it won't move then there's nothing you can do. It's not going to fix itself getting the carrot out. It's broken.

Good for you I don't know with my blender whether i minced the food or cut it big, food sticks to the side and blades..

I think a quick google will show you so many different options available to you. Best work out what kind of price bracket you can afford and also what features are important to you.
There are some good 'review' type websites out there too.
    Good luck.
