    Proud Mummy moment

We had a paediatrician appointment today.

I've been worried about whether there was something wrong with DS3's weight gain. I'm paranoid, given our first two sons died from medical problems and various dramas at the end of this pregnancy.

Bub was 3.73kg at birth at 38 weeks. At 7wks4days, he is now 6.9kg! He's growing at a rate of about 400g a week. It's possible he will have doubled his birth weight by 2 months of age. He's 97% for weight and 90% for height. We're not small people but we weren't expecting that kind of growth. The paed says he's a strong, healthy boy. He's our chunky monkey

After everything that has gone wrong, I feel like we're finally doing something right.

I'm so glad you have had your mind put at ease about your little mans growth. It's a scary time for any new mum, wondering if everything is "normal" so I can only imagine the additional stress for you as dh. I'm so very happy there is nothing more too it than a little boy lovin the boobie juice!

Our little man was born around the same time as yours about the she graduation. He was 3.5kgs at birth, dropped down to 3.3 and in the 6 weeks following birth he's gained 2kgs from that lowest weight. DH says I've got cream :-D. Chubby bubs are awesome

Thanks all. It's nice to feel we're on the right track

after being weighed, he proceeded to projectile vomit all over me, so he may be 100 or so grams lighter than the scales said. Luckily we both had a change of clothes. Next thing to learn - product to remove baby spew from hair when you dont have time to wash it....
